Work / Life Balance

We don’t much like the phrase work/life balance. Why? Because for us, the two shouldn’t be considered separate – your career is a part of your life, and rather than polarising the two, it is important to ensure you view your priorities as a whole rather than pitting the two against each other.

So instead of seeing attending your children’s parents evening as less important than the brief your boss has just given you; understanding which one is a priority at any given time empowers you to take control and make informed decisions.

One-to-one coaching will help you identify your priorities and implement changes to your daily life that enable you to balance work and leisure.

Learn to Master your Time

Becoming efficient at managing your time lies at the heart of creating balance in your life, but this is often hard to implement when you’ve become used to a certain routine. If working late seems inevitable or you reach for your phone first thing in the morning, it may be time to re-think your assumptions and to explore how you can develop healthier habits.

With experience of coaching and training hundreds of individuals dealing with issues from time management to leadership, Mary is well versed in understanding the desire to balance work and personal lives and is committed to helping you get back in the driving seat of your own life.

Research shows that those with better balance in their life are not only happier but outperform their peers. So, striking the right work/life balance isn’t a luxury but essential for your career and wellbeing.

Mary has worked really well with managers to ascertain the requirements for courses, as well as understanding the groups that she would be working with. Managers have repeatedly requested for Mary to facilitate team building events which demonstrates her excellent facilitation skills.

Coaching Eamonn

Mary’s style during the coaching sessions, gently provoking me towards solutions and paths, has been excellent. She allowed me to have control over the personal business and performance targets I could challenge myself with and in deciding what progression has been made between sessions. I have no doubt of the usefulness of the project and of Mary’s help to me through the past few months.

Jenny (charity client)

I liked the fact that Mary understands our business and the daily pressures we face. Mary had a knack of turning a problem into an opportunity and how to deal with sensitive issues, or at least steer me in the right direction.

NICE

Mary facilitated our recent team away day; she supported the planning (suggesting alternative approaches) and was instrumental on the day in ensuring that our objectives for the away day were met. Mary’s enthusiasm and creativity, as well as the ability to flex the day when required meant the team had a very productive as well as enjoyable day. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mary to facilitate team developmental activity

Antonia Farrell

I attended Mary's 'Citrix Leader Program' in Nov 2017. Being a new manager at Citrix Systems I was a little nervous about the program as I worried I would be out of my depth... By the end of the two days, I felt far more confident in myself and my new role. The tools Mary used were very useful and appropriate - in fact, I know most of our group will be using the tools when conducting meetings/creating development plans and as part of our day-day planning/ organizing. Needless to say, I highly recommend Mary for your training days.

Mary is an extremely engaging coach and trainer and I learned a lot of new skills and techniques from her training. I applied these a year after attending the first training course and honestly feel more comfortable in my role thanks to these. I would highly recommend Mary's Coaching and Leadership training.

Professor Michael Rainsborough

Mary's exploration of conflict management in the work place proved a real eye-opener. Her presentation and analysis was fascinating and I learned about new ways to think creatively around the subject that have genuinely helped me deal effectively with complex situations in my large and busy department.
